One who chops their own firewood warms themself twice

Problem Set 1 can be found on Bb and should be turned in via Blackboard. Homework scores will be visible on Blackboard when they are available.

All questions about grades/scores should be directed to Greg and NOT directed to the course TA. Simple arithmetic or data entry problems will be quickly rectified. It is highly unlikely that a HW score will be adjusted for any other reason.

What is the rubric for grading? Problem set grades have two components: 0-5 points for 1 or 2 randomly selected problems. Plus 0-5 points for “completion and presentation.” Each individual assignment is not that important. But the accumulated scores are substantial (20% of final grade). Correct answers to the homework will be distributed when grading is complete.

“One who chops their own firewood warms themself twice.”

This ancient proverb applies to homework. Time spent on homework will help you learn the material and, if you learn the material, it is likely you will do well on the exams.
